What & When to Eat to Assist in Your Weight Loss Goals

What & When to Eat to Assist in Your Weight Loss Goals.

As previously mentioned, it’s far better for you to eat more in the morning as your body needs energy to conduct the necessary activities during your challenging day. In the evening your metabolism will tend to be slower as you rest and eventually retire to bed. During this rest time stored calories would be converted into fats which the body stores for future consumption.

While eating volume is advisably larger in the morning and less in the evening, some experts recommend another strategy.

Instead of eating meals three times a day some experts recommend spacing out your calorie intake, eating at least five to six times a day every three to four hours perhaps. When doing this you should reduce the size of each meal. Through eating more frequently your hunger pangs would be eliminated and you would not have the strong urge to eat uncontrollably anytime of the day as you might have if your meals were spread out more. This technique works not only for women who just gave birth and who aim to lose weight, but also for everyone who intends to trim off excess weight.

Aside from carbohydrates, having just given birth, you should take protein and fat for about a third and a tenth of your average daily intake, respectively. Of course, fruit and vegetables would be on the top of the list of must-eat foods. Green foods like spinach, green beans, avocados, celery, and broccoli should be included in meals as they are abundant in iron, vitamins, and essential fluids. These foods are also rich in fiber, which could help to deceive your body by making your stomach feel fuller for a longer period and by keeping your system going.

Whilst eating fruit is, no doubt, good for you fruit should be eaten in moderation as too much intake could possibly cause acid reflux. It’s therefore better to eat less fruit and more greens in order to avoid any stomach upset.

You should especially cut down, if not totally eliminate consumption of unhealthy fats. The best sources of such fats would be olive oil, oily fish, and avocados. If you want to lose weight in as short a time as possible it’s best that you stay away from the type of fats that turn solid, even at room temperature. Imagine how such fats would accumulate and contribute to bulges when stored in your body. It might be difficult for you but you should definitely avoid junk foods, chocolates, and sugar, which are known as effective weight gain catalysts.

Remember, the surest strategy to lose post pregnancy weight is to maintain a strict healthy diet. It would naturally take some time for you to reduce body fat and regain muscle tone after giving birth. It’s important to note that it’s something that should not be rushed. Combined with proper exercise routines, strategic eating would be one of the most effective, natural ways to lose weight after giving birth.
